Our freshly groomed Moar Gut ski meadow right next to the hotel ensures fun and enjoyment for little skiers. A children's lift and a magic carpet take the little ones safely to the top. Ski instructors are on hand to help and playfully show children the best way to learn how to ski. Equipment for all kinds of winter sports can be rented directly on site in the Moar Gut Sport Shop.
For the older skiers, the in-house shuttle takes them to the Grossarltal-Dorfgastein ski area, 3 km away. There, 70 km of slopes and perfectly groomed pistes await ski enthusiasts. A breathtaking mountain panorama, an incredible amount of powder snow and plenty of space to make turns can be found there.
NEW since winter 2023/24: A modern 10-seater gondola lift from the Grossarltal valley station to the Kieserl. This expands the skiing fun and provides a direct ski connection to Dorfgastein.
We have already tested the slopes and can say: it's simply fantastic!
Riding in the snow
Thick snowflakes dance from the sky and land gently on the backs of our Icelanders. Especially in winter, the outdoor pony walk becomes truly idyllic. A walk around the resort through the snow-covered winter landscape is almost magical.
Thanks to our indoor riding arena, we offer riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders in summer and winter, regardless of the weather.
Our guests also experience a special animal highlight in winter: a carriage ride with our Icelandic horses around the Moar Gut. Take a seat, wrap yourself in thick blankets and just listen to the snorting of the horses. A picture-book idyll!

Farm adventures
Especially in winter, our farm animals enjoy soothing and warming cuddles. The animals have already rolled around in the snow and jumped for joy in the fresh snow. In the meantime, the small animals snuggle up comfortably in the barn and enjoy the cozy warmth.
Have you heard about the Moar Gut animal sponsorship? Families can sponsor a farm animal during the vacation period. Be it a rabbit, a sheep or a horse. The animal can be looked after and cared for with a bag of food and lots of cuddles. And at the end, you will receive a certificate from us as a thank you for the good care.

After the winter fun is before the wellness. Soothing sauna infusions, quiet rooms for relaxation and indoor and outdoor pools with plenty of space for splashing around make your time in the water and heat world at Moar Gut extra special.
