- 330g flour
- 200ml warm milk
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3-4 tsp cardamom
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp cooking oil (neutral flavor)
- 10-12 tbsp cranberry jam
- 100g chestnuts (peeled and cooked)
- 3 tsp cinnamon
Preparation:
- Mix the warm milk with the yeast and sugar in a bowl and leave to stand for 10 minutes.
- Sift the flour with the salt and cardamom into a large bowl. Stir in the milk with the yeast and eggs.
- Add the oil and knead with a dough hook or your hands to form a smooth dough, adding a little more flour or milk if necessary.
- Cover the yeast dough with a cloth and leave to rise in a warm place for approx. 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, chop the chestnuts and mix with the cranberry jam and cinnamon.
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.
- Then form approx. 12 balls from the dough and flatten them.
- Place a tablespoon of the chestnut and cranberry mixture in the center of each bun, press together well, and cover with the dough. Place the buns in a well-greased baking pan.
- Leave the buns to rise for another 15 minutes, then bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly, sprinkle with icing sugar, and enjoy.
Good luck and have fun trying it out.
