Perfect Conditions for Cross-Country Skiers
The Großarltal valley impresses with its snow-sure altitude and around 25 km of perfectly groomed cross-country ski trails. Most of the trails run along the valley floor beside the Großarler Ache river and offer a pleasant, even profile – ideal for endurance training sessions or relaxed enjoyment tours.
Those who are new to cross-country skiing or prefer a more leisurely pace will find ideal conditions in the Großarltal. The wide, flat trails are easy to ski and allow for a safe and comfortable way to learn the technique.
Sporty and ambitious cross-country skiers will also find excellent conditions. The well-groomed skating trails allow for dynamic training in the midst of nature. Thanks to the quiet location and clear mountain air, cross-country skiing in the Großarltal is not only effective, but also particularly relaxing.
