Snail Costume
Materials
- Brown wrapping paper
- A small cardboard box
- Ribbons or cords
- Headband
- 2 white Styrofoam balls or beads
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
Instructions
- Cut a large piece of wrapping paper (about 70–100 cm).
- Twist the paper together to create a slightly messy roll.
- Once the roll is finished, coil it into a snail shape.
- To keep the paper snail in shape, glue it in place at several points (beginning and end).
- Attach another paper roll to the end of the first one and repeat this process until the snail reaches the desired size.
- Repeat the steps to make a second snail of the same size.
- Glue both parts together using hot glue.
- Then glue the snail shell onto a small piece of cardboard.
- Next, add straps so the snail shell can be worn like a backpack.
- Simply make four holes in the corners of the cardboard and attach thick cords or ribbons. (Measure the correct strap length beforehand.)
- For the antennae, twist a strip of wrapping paper until it stands on its own (desired length).
- Attach the Styrofoam balls to one end with hot glue.
- Finally, glue the antennae to the headband (you can also wrap the headband with the same paper if you like).
