Whether as a snack for children at school or a quick bite during work, these energy balls provide the perfect energy boost thanks to the nuts and fruits they contain.
Ingredients:
- 50 g almonds
- 50 g hazelnuts
- 20 g oats
- 100 g dried dates
- 50 g dried prunes
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp grated orange zest
- 4 tbsp shredded coconut
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
Preparation:
- Finely chop the almonds and hazelnuts.
- Add the dates, prunes, orange juice, orange zest, and cinnamon.
- Form small balls from the mixture.
- Place the shredded coconut and cocoa powder into two separate bowls.
- Roll half of the balls in shredded coconut and the other half in cocoa powder.
- Serve the energy balls immediately or store them in the refrigerator.
Our tip:
Instead of rolling the energy balls in coconut and cocoa, we rolled them in freeze-dried berries.
