Kaiserschmarren á la Moar Gut

Ingredients:

  • 500ml milk
  • 250g self-raising flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 100g butter
  • 40g sugar
  • pinch of salt

Preparation:

  • separate the eggs
  • beat the egg whites until stiff
  • mix egg yolks, flour, milk, flour and salt
  • carefully fold in the egg whites
  • melt the butter in a pan
  • add part of the batter
  • fry until golden yellow
  • quarter the dough in the pan and then turn it over
  • cut into pieces and refine again with a little butter
  • put the lid on and leave the Kaiserschmarren to rise a little

MOAR tip: After turning, caramelize some sugar with butter in the pan. This gives the Kaiserschmarren its unique taste.
