Ingredients:
- 500ml milk
- 250g self-raising flour
- 6 eggs
- 100g butter
- 40g sugar
- pinch of salt
Preparation:
- separate the eggs
- beat the egg whites until stiff
- mix egg yolks, flour, milk, flour and salt
- carefully fold in the egg whites
- melt the butter in a pan
- add part of the batter
- fry until golden yellow
- quarter the dough in the pan and then turn it over
- cut into pieces and refine again with a little butter
- put the lid on and leave the Kaiserschmarren to rise a little
MOAR tip: After turning, caramelize some sugar with butter in the pan. This gives the Kaiserschmarren its unique taste.
