Dear Lisa-Maria, tell us a little about yourself!
I’m originally from Lower Austria, but love brought me to Altenmarkt im Pongau. I’m 30 years old and a qualified medical massage therapist and midwife. I completed my training as a medical massage therapist around eight years ago and then went on to complete a three-year degree in Midwifery at IMC Krems. Today, I live and work in the Salzburg region and am very happy to be able to combine my two professional passions.
How would you describe yourself as a person?
I would describe myself as cheerful, open-minded and very organised – although sometimes I can be a bit of a perfectionist. Family means a lot to me, and I love animals. I can hardly walk past a cat without stopping to pet it. In my free time, I love being active, travelling and discovering new countries and cultures. Another great passion of mine is photography.
What was your professional journey to becoming a midwife?
Around eight years ago, I completed my training as a medical massage therapist and was already self-employed before beginning my midwifery studies. I eventually decided to pursue a new professional path and enrolled in the Midwifery degree programme at IMC Krems. During my three years of study, I continued working as a medical massage therapist at the Diakonissen hospital in Linz.
After graduating, I opened my own practice in Radstadt, where I work both as a midwife and a medical massage therapist. As a midwife, I support expectant mothers and families throughout pregnancy and around birth, as well as providing postnatal care and support before and after delivery. Being able to accompany families so personally during this special time means a great deal to me.
What are your responsibilities at Moar Gut?
At Moar Gut, I have the wonderful opportunity to combine both of my professional fields. On the one hand, I work in the Natur Spa, where I give our guests the chance to unwind and enjoy a relaxing break from everyday life with soothing massages.
On the other hand, I support families in our Lillee Baby Spa. Here, one of my responsibilities is leading baby floating sessions for our youngest guests. These sessions are all about calm, comfort and precious time together for parents and their baby. As a midwife, working with babies and young families is naturally very close to my heart. I love being able to accompany parents during this special stage of life and create a safe and nurturing space for shared moments of well-being.
The Lillee Baby Spa – special moments of well-being for babies and parents
The Lillee Baby Spa at Moar Gut is a lovingly designed retreat for our youngest guests and their parents. Baby floating, baby massage and other gentle treatments create space for closeness and precious time together. With the professional guidance of our midwives, well-being and a sense of security are combined with expert care. This allows parents to consciously enjoy time with their baby – all as part of a relaxing family holiday in the Salzburg mountains.
With Lisa-Maria, we benefit from valuable experience in two complementary fields. As a midwife and medical massage therapist, she brings extensive expertise in babies, pregnancy and postnatal care, as well as many years of experience in massage and holistic well-being.
Dear Lisa-Maria, we’re so happy to have you as part of the Moar Gut team!
